Welcome to our site

Jesse James Cache Bash 4

Event Pathatgs will be sold for $1 each now with a limit of 3.  Thanks.

If you did not already know, we will begin at Remington Nature Center with registration at 10AM October 1, 2011 (Note: the Nature Center will officially re-open on Oct 1 with our event as the grand re-opening!  They will stay open late for the "Rockin on the River" Parties on the Parkway Grand Finale FREE Performance.  You may want to attend this after our event! You will get to chat and socialize for a little while until all are registered.  We will get our goodie bags (one per username) to enjoy all sorts of free stuff.  We will give instructions and pass out our gamecards for everyone to get out and go have some fun  (Sorry, no straight-jackets this year).  We are partnering with SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK this year so please bring can food goods to donate to our collection boxes.  Please make sure the dates are good and the labels are intact.  If you forget can goods then cash donations also work!

We will conclude at the Pony Express Stables Community Room and get to tell stories of geocaching today or other days.  Game cards will be collected and we will award prizes/door prizes/etc.  The Jesse James Strongbox will also be given away at this time.  The new Mystery Box will also be drawn for and opened too.  This Mystery Box is our main funding item (along with shirt sales) so please support our event so we can do it again.  Mystery Box Raffle chances are $5 per ticket or 5 chances for $20.  It will contain enough geocaching stuff to make you think you robbed the Wells Fargo.  These PRIZES are GREAT!

This year geocaching.com is not allowing us to put prices of t-shirts, coins, path tags, etc on our listing. If you are interested in buying a shirt be sure to contact MoPirate through geocaching.com or call him.

Hotels and B&Bs have offered special pricing if you identify yourself as reserving for the 10 block of rooms for the Jesse James Cache Bash 4.   Some special pricing for the motels/hotels/B&B for folks who have the time can spend the night before or after (or both) to take advantage of the over 150 caches already in this area. We will have 25+ new caches for our games and possibly some early releases on Friday before the event. Plan accordingly!
* Stoney Creek Inn has agreed to hold a block of 10 rooms for us this weekend at a $79 + tax per room/night rate.
* Holiday Inn has agreed to a block of 10 rooms for $78 per room/night rate go to this link http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/en/reservation/roomrate?destination=102+SOUTH+THIRD+STREET+ST.+JOSEPH+MISSOURI+United+States&hotelCode=sjrmo&groupCode=CB4&execute=basic

or contact us directly at Holiday Inn Riverfront (+1) (816) 2798000 Ext: 669.

* Whiskey Mansion (an 1885 restored mansion now a B&B) has agreed to $89 per room/night rate if you do both nights.

All of the rates will go away after September 1, 2011 so book early to get one before they are gone. (last year was NASCAR weekend so plan ahead) I will try to get the links for you to go directly to these places.

Camping?  AOK RV Park is offering a reduced rate of $20 per nite for this weekend if you mention geocaching.

Shirt designs are the logo with a few adjustments (see photos) just click on the picture to make it bigger. We have the standard t-shirts (short sleeve) with the logo on front and the travel bug design on back.  Color this year is Kiwi.  Sizes S-XL are $10 again with Sizes 2XL-3XL being $12 4XL are $13.  Long sleeve t-shirts are available this year and run $3 more than the short sleeve so basically they are $13 and $15 with no 4XL available.  Please paypal Steve Allen at packerbacker31@hotmail.com.

SHIRT ORDER DEADLINE IS SEPT 9 so please be prompt!  SHIRT ORDERS HAVE BEEN PLACED WITH ONLY 10 EXTRAS ORDERED  SO IF YOU WANTED ONE, EMAIL ME AND I WILL SEE IF AN EXTRA WAS MADE IN YOUR SIZE! THANKS Due to a shirt order mixup they printed about 20 extra shirts in Short Sleeve only so if you wanted 1 (or 2) we will probably have your size available in short sleeve.

SO you want to eat or CACHE?  We will not be doing a dinner meal BUT we have arranged with about 20 restaurants (all over the city) to give you free food coupons or Buy One Get One free coupons, or free sides, or free cones, or free cookies, or $1 off a meal or free drink with meal or free appetizer with a meal, etc etc.  This way you will be able to eat the dish of your choice at the location you will be in the neighborhood of while out geocaching in the games.  Or you do not have to use any of the coupons, OR you don't have to eat!
